A question we get asked all the time is “can a Secondary Dwelling or Granny Flat be separatly rented from the primary dwelling”.  The ansewer is not straight forward and differs from Council to Council.  However, most SEQ Council’s have the same definition of Secondary Dwelling, who can reside within them and what facilities they must have.
